Which among the above statements is / are correct?
Highest temperature is not recorded at the equator rather it is a bit north of it. Also we should note that the average annual temperature of all the oceans is 17.2°C. The average annual temperatures for the northern and southern hemispheres are 19.4°C and 16.1°C respectively.
