Urea is the major end product of nitrogen metabolism in humans and mammals. Urea is formed from ammonia and carbon dioxide. The conversion of ammonia into urea takes place in the LIVER. The formed urea is then transported to the kidneys where it is excreted. Insulin  is a peptide hormone produced by beta cells in the pancreas.
