Why do houses with thatched roofs keep cool in summers?

Answer: [B] Thatched roofs trap air

Houses with thatched roofs keep cool in summer, as compared to houses with concrete roofs. It is because thatched toof contains a large amount of trapped air which is bad conductor of heat. Hence heat from outside does not flow in thatched roof house. Thus they remain cool in summer.
