With reference to Disaster Management in India, consider the following statements:

Answer: [D] Neither 1 nor 2

Prime Minister is  the chairman of National Disaster Management Authority, while the Chief Minister  is the Chairman of State Disaster Management Authority. Second statement is also not correct. The National fund is at the disposal of a high level committee of the Union Ministry (which includes Finance, Home and Agriculture Ministers). Similarly, state fund is at disposal of the state executive.
