v=√GM/r

Where v is the speed of satellite, G is the gravitational constant; M is the mass of the Earth and r is the radial distance of satellite from earth.So, we find that velocity of satellite does not depend on mass of satellite. Again from the equation we find that as velocity is inversely proportional to distance from the earth.Therefore as the distance decreases from earth, velocity of satellite increases.
