Consider the following agreements:
- Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement (BECA)
- CISMOA (Communication Interoperability and Security Memorandum Agreement)
- Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA)
As of now, India is a signatory to which of the above with U.S.?
These are three defence sector “foundational agreements” which are routine instruments used by the US for geospatial intelligence to promote military cooperation with partner-countries. These agreements are foundational but are not the prerequisites for holding bilateral cooperation with US. India has not signed any of the three.
